BECOME A CITIZEN SCIENTIST AND OCEAN GUARDIAN! Campers will be introduced to the underwater world through activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving and games, as well as through engaging in themed presentations about ocean conservation topics. Some of the themes include our National Marine Sanctuaries, Marine biology, Trash Talk, Artificial Reefs, Maritime archaeology, Invasive species and sharks. Dive into STEM is centered around educating youth about their marine environment and the problems the oceans face, and introducing them to methods through which they can help be part of the solution! Participants should bring a bathing suit and towel. Scuba and snorkeling equipment, snacks, supervision, and fun will be provided. If campers wish to bring their own snorkel gear, they are more than welcome to do so.
